Best time to visit Almora:

    Almora as a hill station has a pleasant climate all year round. Summers from April to May the climate is hot but it is best for sightseeing and also ideal time for outdoor activities. While in the winters, Almora gets pleasantly chilling. The weather may uncomfortable for sightseeing and activities held here.  Almora experiences moderate rainfalls in the mansoons from June to September; this is not an ideal time to be here.

How to reach Almora:

By Air:
The nearest airport to Almora is Pantnagar Airport, which is located at a distance of around 115 km from Almora. New Delhi is the nearest international airport and is well connected by road to Almora. You can hire a taxi from airport to reach Almora.

By Train:
The Kathgodam is the nearest railheads from Almora, which is located on around 81 km away. It is well-connected to all the major cities of the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Allahabad, Lucknow and many more. You can hire a taxi from railway station to reach Almora.

By Road:
Almora is well connected by road to all major North Indian cities and other hill stations. Almora is connected with NH87 and NH87E. Almora is connected with Delhi by Uttaranchal State Road Transport Corporation buses on a regular basis. The distance from Delhi to Almora is 365kms if you travel via Moradabad and Bilaspur. This distance can be easily covered in 9-10 hours of time. There are state-run and private buses that offer a regular service.
