Shirdi Tourism:

    Shirdi also known as Sainagar. Shirdi is located in Ahmednagar in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Shirdi is one of the holiest places and also one of the popular pilgrimage places in India. Shirdi, also known as the Land of Sai, is famous for the shrine of Shirdi Sai Baba, which is the main attraction for the devotees who visit this holy shrine. Shirdi is a religious site close to Nasik. Shirdi Temple is one of the richest temples in India. There are large number of devotees comes in the year, an average daily 50,000 devotees visit Shirdi to have the darshan of Sri Saibaba. People of different religions and faiths throng to the town of Shirdi, to pay their homage at the Samadhi of the saint. The Sri Saibaba Sansthan Trust that manages the temple runs super speciality hospitals, has accommodation and drinking water facilities, schools and free meals in the Prasadalaya for the benefit of the devotees that arrive at Shirdi.

Attraction in Shirdi:

    Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is main attraction in Shirdi. The Shirdi temple complex includes Gurusthan, Samadhi Mandir, Dwarkamai, Chavadi and Lendi Baug. Maruti Temple, Khandoba Mandir, Sai Heritage Village, Amruteshwar Temple, Abdul Baba Cottage, water park, Shanisinghnapur and Nashik are the other places of attraction situated in and around Shirdi.

Best time to visit Shirdi:

    Shirdi has hot summers, rainy monsoons and cool winters, pilgrims and tourists visit Shirdi throughout the year. But the best time to visit Shirdi is winter from October to February. During this time days are pleasant and cold nights. This time is convenient to enjoy your pilgrimage and sightseeing in Shirdi. Shirdi receive heavy rainfall in monsoon from July to September, so it is not the best time to visit Shirdi but Shirdi get colourfully crowded for the Guru Pournima festival. Summers from March to June are hot and not very touristy. 

How to reach Shirdi:

By Air:
The nearest airport to Shirdi is Aurangabad Airport which is around 130 km away from Shirdi. Another nearest airport is Pune Airport and Mumbai Airport. All airports are well-connected to major cities like Delhi, Banglore, Chennai, Hyderabad etc. You can get a taxi or bus to reach Shirdi from Aurangabad, Pune or Mumbai. 

By Rail:
Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station at Shirdi has daily and weekly rail services to most cities of the India. It is well connected with all major cities in India like Ahmednagar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Delhi, Bhopal, Manmad. There are regular transport vehicles and buses outside the station to reach Mandir.

By Road:
Shirdi is well connected by Road. Shirdi lies on the Ahmednagar-Manmad Highway. There are regularly bus service available from Shirdi to all major cities in India like bus to major cities like Nashik, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Ahmednagar, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. Driving to Shirdi is yet another preferred option of reaching the town by road.
